Happy New Year! Welcome to 2019. We had an interesting end to 2018 in my household, but onward and upward, and looking forward to what 2019 will bring.

The Pixel Scrapper Blog Train theme is Science Fiction, and I am a big-time fan of SyFyDy (science fiction/dystopian) novels, so my part definitely has a bookish bent to it.

This month's theme was "Cozy Kitchen." To be honest, I only cook because people in my house need to eat. So my kitchen would probably not be considered cozy, by any means. It is more of a work space that happens to also contain a stove, refrigerator, and toaster oven. I CAN cook, but it isn't on my top 10 list of things I ENJOY. So I had to reach outside my box for this one, for sure!

This month's blog train theme was "Remembrance." Everyone has some lovely parts focusing on various ways to remember loved ones. Jews eat hard-boiled eggs in the first meal after a funeral, hence the eggs in my kit.
