ALFLT October Blog Train and a DSD Surprise!

Happy Digital Scrapbooking Day 2020! I'm sure I will spend it shopping and downloading lots of goodies, instead of grading papers like I should be doing lol!

Mother Nature seems to have forgotten it is mid-March here- we are getting a record 11 inches of snow right now! So, how about a few flower templates to celebrate the (eventual!) coming of spring?

A tip in case you need it: Adjusting the brightness/contrast of the template will help you achieve the perfect color once you create your color overlay.

It's another brisk fall Sunday here in the midwest, and many of us here in Chicago had a great reason to celebrate this week, with the Chicago Cubs winning the World Series! The city had a huge parade and rally downtown, which made bringing my son to rehearsal nearly impossible on Friday- we made it downtown and fought the crowds to get to the theatre in time for a costume fitting, only to find out rehearsal was cancelled. :/

There actually is no football on in the house today- DH and the boy went to a toy soldier show and then are going to see "Magnificent Seven" later. Peace and quiet around here! Which means I am getting some time to work on a special surprise for you to celebrate Digital Scrapbooking Day (which, if you didn't hear, was moved up to the first weekend in October, so it is next Saturday!).

Another Football Sunday in my house, except the Bears are on Monday night this week, so I get to steal the DH away from the TV for some yardwork this afternoon. Have a fantastic week!

I've known my husband for over 20 years. When we met, he forewarned me that he would be "busy" all day every Sunday, and many Monday nights, from September through January. So I've always used that time to get errands, grading, lesson planning, and scrapbooking done.

I can't promise that I will always have time (or remember!) to post a flower on Sundays during football season, but I will try!
