My apologies for this being posted a bit late this Saturday- it has been crazy around here with grades due and my son being in "A Christmas Carol" downtown. I seem to never been home, and when I am, I'm sleeping!
Here is my template for the ALFLT blog train. I just LOVE argyle patterns! There are two versions in one document- turn on and off the layers with the stitches to work with each of them.
Pixel Scrapper December Blog Train: Home for the Holidays
Going home for the holidays (especially when I was in college) always meant baking cookies with my mom, so I am paying homage to those fun times with this mini- I "baked up" a few dozen cookies for you!
Visit Pixel Scrapper and pick up the rest of the portions- be sure to leave lots of love for the designers who bring you this awesome train every month!
Scrap Designers December Blog Train: Holiday Songs
This, month, we each picked a favorite holiday song and created kits for them. I did a mini for the Dreidel Song, but there are elements and papers in there that you can use for just about anything!
I also have a Chanukah-related free kit on my Facebook Fan Freebie Page this month...
And, a little more inspiration, using the same template from above. If you like this template, check back here on Saturday, because that's when the "A Love for Layout Templates" train goes live, and this is the template I have for you this month!
Wow, did the weather turn freezing fast here in Chicagoland! It seems we had one day of autumn, and now it is winter. I have two blog train freebies and a new freebie on my Facebook page for you this month.
The Pixel Scrapper November blog train, Elegant Autumn
Oh how I loved working with these colors! They are so nice and refreshing for this time of year.
My apologies in advance- the file is a bit on the large side; grades are due for first quarter this week, and I ran out of time to divide everything up! You can download my part from GOOGLE DRIVE.
Stop by Pixel Scrapper to grab the rest of the pieces, and leave some love for the designers!
Scrap Designers Blog Train, Attitude of Gratitude
We should ALL have an attitude of gratitude! I am grateful for so much in my life, it would make for one very long blog post here, but I'll start with my amazing husband and son for always being there for me! What are YOU grateful for?
I love everything about fall- the cooler air, the hoodie sweatshirts and jeans, and especially the colors! This month's blog trains both have those beautiful fall colors. Enjoy sipping on mulled cider, biting into a crisp apple, and pumpkin spiced...well, everything!
Pixel Scrapper October Blog Train- Pumpkin Spice
I may have gone a bit overboard on the papers with this one, but only because the colors for this train were just gorgeous!
There are so many goodies, I had to divide into three parts! You can download from Google Drive below- to do so, click on the ARROW pointing down in the upper bar of the Google Drive screen!
You may have noticed there isn't a new freebie for my Facebook Fan Freebie this week. Well, be on the lookout next weekend, because it is Digital Scrapbooking Day on Saturday, October 7, and I will have a new freebie there and also one here on my blog to celebrate!
I just love the fall months. The air turns slightly cooler but it isn't sweater weather yet, the possibilities of a new school year, and the colors of autumn all combine to make this a beautiful time of year.
This month, I have three blog trains for you, plus a new Facebook freebie!
Pixel Scrapper Blog Train: At the Zoo
Some designers chose specific animals, and some chose a general zoo theme. I landed somewhere in-between, and created a few papers and word art for the Reptile House. My son was always fascinated by the Reptile Houses at the Lincoln Park and Milwaukee Zoos, so it is kind-of a little tribute to his obsession from when he was younger.
For this month, my Facebook Freebie is a coordinating set of journal cards.
Visit my Facebook page HERE and click on Fan Freebie to grab it! While you're there, like and follow me- I don't post a whole lot outside of stuff at the beginning of the month (promise!), but you never know what you are missing out on if you don't! 😀
A Love for Layout Templates Blog Train
Last but not least, I have a new template for you as part of the "A Love for Layout Templates" blog train. I, in no way, consider myself a "template" designer, so this is definitely a learning process for me. But I always love to learn new things, and heck, why not have people benefit from them?!
I have one sample page shown above with my mini kit for the Scrap Designers blog train, and this is an example using my "Back 2 School" collection, available in my Etsy store HERE.
You can download two different files, depending on your needs, from Google Drive:

I have a really neat new collection in the works- but it will be a little while until I can show it off. Having switched grade levels this year for teaching, I am taking a bit of time to focus on curriculum. But I'll be back next month with a few blog trains!
So, some sad news this month- my designer friend, Leigh Penrod, decided to retire last month. She and her talents will be missed, but I wish her the best for the future.
That being said, some of the designers from her blog train decided to continue in August. We are calling it the "Scrap Designers Blog Train," and I'm sure you will recognize a few of us!
The theme was "School Rules," and since I was going to work on a school collection anyways, the timing was perfect.
My new collection, "Back 2 School," is HUGE! It has, to start, 40 papers, 93 school elements, 93 generic elements, 12 journal cards, and 14 artsy elements. Then, since I made this kit to fulfill school scrapping needs from Preschool through High School, there also are Grade Level headers, Subject tags, and Extracurriculars tags.
The Back 2 School Collection is available in my Etsy store HERE. To celebrate school (as a teacher, I feel like we should ALWAYS celebrate school!), my entire store is 50% off until (my!) school starts August 21- just use the coupon code SCHOOL17 when checking out!
A closer look at the collection:
The collection coordinates with the August Scrap Designers Blog Train, School Rules. Here is a mini-kit that contains 10 papers and 21 elements.
Make sure to check back next month- we are growing in numbers every week with designers who are looking to participate! And if YOU are a designer interested in joining us, you can message me via Facebook and I'll get you added to the group!
I also have a coordinated freebie on my Facebook Fan Freebie page!
I'm wrapping up my posts for this weekend with a new release, "Just Beachy," that coordinates with the July Pixel Scrapper Blog Train, Summer Lovin'.
I absolutely loved the colors this month, so I couldn't pass up the chance to create a beach collection that was sizzling hot. "Just Beachy" has 40 papers, 20 beachy elements, 27 generic elements, 3 journal cards, 6 artsy elements, and 10 flair elements, plus a glittery green alpha!
The Just Beachy collection is available in my Etsy store HERE. To celebrate summer, my entire store is 30% off- just use the coupon code SUMMER17 when checking out!
